Patrick Moynihan & Rose Connolly’s Marriage Certificate (Page 1, Page 2)

Page 1 shows the date and has Moynihan misspelled as “Monaghan”. One of the witnesses is Owen (Eugene) Connolly, Rose’s brother. Page 2 lists the bride and groom’s parents’ names. It also gives the age of Patrick & Rose at the time.

Mary Moynihan’s Baptism Certificate

This is a copy obtained in 1946. Listed is Mary’s birth date, baptism date, and is witnessed by Anna Connolly (Rose’s sister) & Timothy Moynihan (Patrick’s brother?).

John Vincent Moynihan’s Birth Certificate

Connolly has been misspelled here. Note the address at the time, the date, and Patrick’s job, “ Inspector on Croton Aqueduct”. Also, note that it lists John as Rose’s 4^th child but that only 3 are now alive. This suggests that Rose Moynihan must have already died.

Hannah Moynihan’s Death Certificate

One of Patrick & Rose’s children, Hannah died shortly after John Vincent was born. She was only 16 months old. The address & cause of death are listed, as is the number of families living in the five-story building the Moynihans occupied.

Patrick Moynihan’s Death Certificate

The certificate gives Patrick’s occupation at the time as “Hostel Keeper”. He died in Throggs Neck, Westchester, now the Bronx. He was only 37 years old. Note the cause of death.
