It lists William Anderson, his wife Mary (Connolly), son William, sisters-in-law Kate Connolly, Rose Connolly, Annie Connolly, Sarah Connolly, Bridget Connolly, & brother-in-law (though listed simply as “boarder”) Owen Connolly. Rogan 1900 U.S. Census Entry

A close-up of a page from the 1900 Census. It lists James Rogan, his wife Catherine (Connolly), sisters-in-law Sarah & Bridget, & nephew John Moynihan.  The entry gives the year of immigration, how long they’ve been in the U.S., and whether they are naturalized. It also lists their birth month and year (again, some people lied), how long they’ve been married, how many children they’ve had, & their occupations.  Not all of this is visible in this close-up and, unfortunately, this is one of the HARDEST pages to read. The address (also not visible here) is 936 8th Ave, Manhattan.

Rogan 1910 U.S. Census Entry

Similar to above, but MUCH easier to read. John’s occupation (not visible in this view) is listed as “Gas-fitter”.

Rogan 1920 U.S. Census Entry

Similar to above, but John is now gone (died).

Sarah Connolly’s Death Certificate
